Meet Innkeeper Ruth MacDonald, Ruth recently earned her Master of Gardening Degree, her Justice of the Peace certificate, and has become a Notary Public.
Ruth & Leo Proudly offer personal service in a peaceful, quiet setting & warmly welcome you to The Lonesome Dove Bed & Breakfast.
The property is meticulously cared for right down to the smallest detail. Inside you will find inviting, comfortable and updated accomodations & on the outside, you will find nature at it's best in a National Wildlife Backyard Habitat !
Meet Max & Seth, full time guests and members of the family. Max & Seth are here along with the herons, ducks that are wild or tame and all of the wildlife to demonstrate how to take advantage of the serenity that abounds this wonderful property. The only way to disturb the natural balance of things & arouse them from their lounging lifestyle (as seen on the right) is to introduce an unfamiliar animal into their territory.
So at their request, we do not accept guest's pets.

-At the end of the exit, take a right onto Route 169 South
-Go one mile to our driveway (on the left marked by a
Blue and White Lonesome Dove Sign).
From Boston, Mass Area:
-Take 495 to 95 South,
-In New London, CT go over Gold Star Bridge
-Stay to your far right, and take the first exit onto Route 32 (to Norwich)
-On Route 32 take the exit for 395 North.
-Once on 395 North take exit 83A (for Lisbon/Canterbury)
-At the end of the exit, take a right onto Route 169 South
-Go one mile to our driveway (on the left marked by a
Blue and White Lonesome Dove Sign).
From Springfield, Mass:
-Take 91 South to Route 2 for Norwich/New London,
-Stay on Route 2 until you are in Norwich,
-Take the second exit (for 395 North).
-Once on 395 North take exit 83A (for Lisbon/Canterbury)
-At the end of the exit, take a right onto Route 169 South
-Go one mile to our driveway (on the left marked by a
Blue and White Lonesome Dove Sign).
-The driveway is long and curves around like the number "6".
-Please park anywhere in the circle.
