Q- How old is the site and when will more areas be added?
A- This Is a brand new site and more information, States, Counties and traveler's tools will be added daily.
Q-Aren't all travel sites free for me?
A- NO, We are "truly" free to the traveler. Most Travel sites will say they are "free" but a lot of them are charging a commission to the lodging establishment when you book through them. In the end, who is really picking up the fee? We are not saying that we are better, just totally different than those sites, we do not "book" rooms, we just provide information. There are a lot of good, high quality travel sites out there and we hope that travelers use every resource available to them when planning their vacation.
Q- How does your site generate income?
A- We don't hide our charges- If you go to some of the major travel sites, you may not find out what the lodging establishments are paying to be "featured". Through lots of research, I have discovered that these rates are pretty high in some cases. (We are not saying that all travel sites are bad, I have visited a lot of good ones.) We charge the lodging establishments a very low, one time fee. You are more than welcome to look at our "advertiser page" . We have no secrets or hard to find information, you will see that what we charge them is not enough to pass on to you.
Q-Why would you only allow four display ads per county?
A- There are many reasons why we only allow four display ads per area. The most important is that we don't want our pages to be a "mess" for lack of a better word. We envision pages with area specific useful information, links and lodging options featured for your viewing on one page.
Q-Where do you get your area businesses and why are you not charging them?
A- We do not blindly link to any business.This is a service to our visitors.. We do not charge anything for links, pictures or business phone numbers on the County or the City pages. We never will ! We have also "asked permission" from everyone that we link to. We need this information for the traveler to use when visiting an area. Businesses or communities that give us information are providing us a service. Some sites believe that they have to make money at every turn and we do not have that philosophy. I do not mind spending a lot of time adding links and useful information to the site and not personally making a dime from that phase of it because I know that with every addition to the site, I'm getting useful content that enhances the site for the traveler. Some links only on the main links page are affiliated with us.
Q-How are people going to know about your site?
A- We have just started, we will grow as fast as we can. A big percent of the income that we generate will go directly to marketing and advertising such as submissions to search engines, ads in the newspapers, etc. This will ensure that we reach as many traveler's as we possibly can.
Q-The area that I am interested in is not listed, when will it be?
A- We will take care of the major tourist destinations first, If you own a lodging establishment and would like your area to be included, e-mail me and I will build your page. We hope to cover enough areas quickly enough to be a real use to the traveler and even when they do not find their destination yet, they will find some of our links and information useful.
Q-Why do I never see any updates on your site?
A- This site is being added to, modified and updated several times a day, please make sure that your browser is set to "look for new stored web pages".
